OSRAM extends its guarantee on systems, electronic control gears and HCI/HQI high-pressure discharge lamps.

The following terms and conditions apply:



Guarantee Level 3c

Lighting systems, consisting of OSRAM high intensity discharge lamps and ECGs, may be considered to a 5 year guarantee on the ECG and a 1 year guarantee on the lamp. The System+ Guarantee (lamp + ECG) applies to POWERTRONIC ECGs of the PTi and PT-FIT series when used in conjunction with the following high-pressure discharge lamps from OSRAM:

  • HCI up to 150 W

  • HQI-T and HQI-TS with 70 W and 150 W

Lighting systems, consisting of OSRAM high intensity discharge lamps and ECGs, may be considered to a 5 year guarantee on the ECG and a 1 year guarantee on the lamp. The System+ Guarantee (lamp + ECG) applies to POWERTRONIC ECGs of the PTo series when used in conjunction with the following high-pressure discharge lamps from OSRAM:

  • HCI-T, HCI-T/P, HCI-E/P and HCI-TX/P up to 150 W

  • HQI-T and HQI-TS with 70 W and 150 W


Lighting systems, consisting of OSRAM high intensity discharge lamps and ECGs, may be considered to a 5 year guarantee on the ECG and a 2 year guarantee on the lamp. The System+ Guarantee (lamp + ECG) applies to POWERTRONIC ECGs of the PTo series when used in conjunction with the following high-pressure discharge lamps from OSRAM:

  • HCI-TT, NAV-E 4Y, NAV-T 4Y, NAV-E SUPER 4Y and NAV-T SUPER 4Y up to 150 W

An annual operating time of no more than 4,000 lighting hours is conditional for the guarantee. The System+ Guarantee (lamp + ECG) applies only to lighting systems with no less than 25 fixtures. The System+ Guarantee (lamp + ECG) applies to systems operated at full capacity (100% load); it does not apply to systems running at a reduced capacity.

General Conditions

  • Guarantee Level 3c requires registration with OSRAM after initial operation.

  • The 5/1- and 5/2-year-System+ Guarantee applies to lamps and ECGs which are operated adhering to OSRAM specifications and to the IEC standard. The system guarantee is valid only for the original set.

  • OSRAM reserves the right to decide upon the eligibility of a guarantee’s claim. This requires the failed lamps and ECGs to be returned to the address of registration for analysis; with a copy of the successful registration enclosed. In case of fault, OSRAM takes over the repair, delivers a replacement free of charge, or credits lamps and ECGs which failed verifiably due to a material’s or manufacturer’s fault within the respective duration of the guarantee.

  • Registration must be made within 30 days of initial operation of the lighting system.

  • Statutory guarantee claims shall not be affected by this guarantee and shall apply independent from it and in parallel.

  • Guarantee claims will be handled by the local OSRAM office in the relevant country.
